5. Two or more partners?
The number of classes depends on participants’ priorities.
For interactive exchange work, it is essential to fund one or more partners. The greater the cultural diversity (geographical distance, climate, traditions etc.), the more interesting and motivating the exchange between these countries on a forum will be.
In the case of two partners:
- it is easier to find a partner class
- the work in common is simpler to coordinate and manage
- the work can be more flexible (duration, forms etc.).
In the case of several partners, the forum offers greater:
- cultural diversity
- linguistic diversification.
The Gulliver project forum, involving twenty or so countries, is a good illustration of this richness. We also have examples of more in-depth exchanges between certain pupils or certain classes.
