“Getting started” activities are excellent opportunities for building on what you have already found out about a training group during needs analysis, as well as learning about their immediate feelings, needs and expectations.
The opening session or activity sets the pace and tone of the event and will provide the participants with very strong indications of your:
- educational philosophy;
- approach to training;
- training style;
- attitude towards participants;
- emotional state (anxious, excited).
