3.1 Who will be the
participants of the
workshop or course?

Aina Kačkere, Ildikó Lázár

The more you can learn about your participants in advance, the better you will be able to plan the workshop. If you are a trainer, for maximum efficiency try to invite multipliers from different contexts who will be able to disseminate the results of the workshop to a wider audience.

Will you yourself decide who the participants will be or will you be asked to run a workshop for a particular group? Students, pre- or in-service teachers, and teacher trainers will probably have different needs and expectations, diverse personal experiences of otherness, and varying degrees and types of motivation to participate in a workshop on intercultural communication.
