THEORY into PRACTICE

  2. Chagal Guidelines & Teaching
    Chinese Students:
    theory into practice

The CHAGAL CURRICULUM GUIDELINES for study preparation mechanisms offer a conceptual foundation, which only reveals its true value and usefulness when put into practice.

  1. With a task group at the VGU, the University Preparation Programme of the Graz University, Wilfried Krenn summarised what had previously been achieved by the 12 guidelines at VGU, a project partner in the CHAGAL GRUNDTVIG 1 - project, and whose measures for improving the offerings for international students should ideally still be met.
  2. Dee Doyle describes in her text, how it is possible, despite completely different, and in some aspects even contrary, learning cultures, to successfully use the productive strength of both learning traditions (the Chinese and the “Western” learning and teaching styles) to achieve the best possible learning success. This is how the CHAGAL principle of learner-centred teaching may be put to optimal use.
