How do you imagine Europe in
thirty years’ time ? |
The great writer Viktor Hugo made a proposal that
our common place - Europe must be similar to the United States
of America. I wish that to happen in the next 30-50 years. That's
my answer to the question "How do you imagine Europe in thirty
years' time?". I want all the countries in Europe to be united
in a union as the EU and then the logo "United in diverity"
will be with a great importance. Bulgaria, the place where I live
now, is one of the poor countries in Europe and it still doesn't
have well-developed economics and other sectors but we want to
be part of the Big Family. This is one of my dreams....I feel
hopeful that our nation will succeed to prove that we are worthy
of entering the Union. In that short for the evolution period
I imagine that all around the world thеre will be PEACE.
Today is the 11th of September known as the Day against Terrorism.
According to me peace is one of the most essential aspects of
our history. In addition to peace I imagine that in 30 years everybody
on the Earth will be happy that he/she was born... and happiness
includes health, love, peace...everything else comes after that
or we can buy it... |

HOW DO YOU IMAGINE EUROPE IN THIRTY YEARS’ TIME?
Ivan Valchev:
I imagine Europe in thirty years' time united with one united
economics, with no wars, with crystal air and untouched nature
and of course I see Europe full with happy people from different
countries. […]
I think that the European governments would make more exacting
laws about nature. And high-technology will find application in
the real life. These technologies will help the factories to produce
ecological products without dangerous consequence for the nature.
I see the roads full with cars using hydrogen for fuel.
People from different countries cross Europe without problems
at customs. They will get to know new cultures.
I imagine Europe cleaner, safer, with powerful economics, with
no poverty and I see a lot of happy people.
INPUT FROM BULGARIA – IORDAN TRENDAFILOV’S STUDENTS
Ivo Savov:
Thirty years' time is not so long but the continent will seem
completely different. I suppose that all the countries will
form one very big country. Different nations will get to know
each other much better than now. Separate people from different
places of the continent will meet and familiarize themselves.
Actually I do not have a clue what will be Europe like in thirty
years. These are only my suppositions.

How do you imagine Europe in thirty years
time |
Alma Memo |

Hi this is Olti Mitre's topic.
HOW DO YOU IMAGINE EUROPE IN THIRTY YEARS TIME?
Obviously in thirty years time Europe will change a lot. Its
technology will be wider. Its economy will be better than now.
There will be more energy around Europe.
There will be more environmental protection both from the EU
and from other new institutions and councils. The EU will set
more new agreements that are similar to the Kyoto Protocol (Japan)
on global warming. The EU will persuade other countries like
Kyoto in Japan to reduce harmful gases and the EU will stop
those that are harming and spoiling our nature and of course
the life of every single species of an animal. Rivers will be
cleaned up from pollution by the help of the new technology
that will be invented. […]
In thirty years there will be at least thirty countries and
these will be very good for these countries' economies. And
people will have a better life. There will be no wars especially
in Eastern Europe. Relations among NATO, EU, USA and Russia
will be perfect. I imagine Europe protected from terrorism.
Many new tunnels and new bridges will be constructed to join
states. They will be like a powerful chain. […]

Hi Olti !Your essay is really interesting but I think it’s
quite optimistic. I think that the changes you described are very
positive but in my opinion they will occur in at least one hundred
years. I think that the environmental problems are very serious.
It’s impossible for people to count with such problems for
only thirty years time. I wasn’t to ask you how do you see
the future of your country
in political aspect. Do you think that Albanian politicians will
try to change the social reality in your country so that it will
be possible for Albania to join the EU in the near future. Bulgarian
politicians are trying to do such things and I hope they will
succeed. And the last thing I want to ask you is if you are willing
to tell me how do you live in Albania. That’s all for now.
Bye!

I'm sorry I didn't write earlier but it's very
difficult to connect to the internet here in Albania. You are
right about what you say but you should know that I’m very
optimistic about the future. Esp. about the future of my country.
I hope that both Albania and Bulgaria will soon join the EU. I
want you to know that I’ve got a brother and it’s
name is Gerti. Now he’s studying at AUBG ( American University
in Bulgaria ). This university is in Blagoevgrad I think but I’mhat
I’ve got a brother not sure about this. Another thing that
I want you to know about me is that I love playing basketball.
Esp. streetbasket ( AND 1 ) if you know what I mean. Being a tall
boy gives me advantages when I play with my friends. Also I like
music. My favorite group is Metallica. I want to ask you if you
play or just like any sport and if you can tell me some of your
hobbies.
I will be very pleased if you write me soon. Olti ALB. |

mondiale.
