David Little, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland / Irlande

David Little is Head of the School of Linguistic, Speech and Communication Sciences, University of Dublin, Trinity College (www.tcd.ie/clcs).

He has published widely on language teaching and learning, especially with reference to the theory and practical implementation of learner autonomy.

He is currently vice chair of the Council of Europe's European Language Portfolio Validation Committee and coordinator of ECML Project C6, Training teachers to use the European Language Portfolio.

Viljo Kohonen, Finland / Finlande

Viljo Kohonen is Professor of Foreign Language Education at the Department of Teacher Education, University of Tampere (Finland).

His current research includes the following areas: Experiential learning in foreign language education; transformative learning in the teacher's professional growth, fostering collegial school culture; authentic assessment in foreign language education, with special reference to the European Language Portfolio (ELP).

He has been involved in the ELP research and development work under the auspices of the Council of Europe over the past fifteen years, acting as a resource person for several national ELP implementation projects. He is an author of over 100 publications.


Dick Meijer, The Netherlands / Pays-Bas
